It was an informative evening at our Purina Flock-Tober event with Dr. Patrick Biggs the Flock Nutritionist at Purina. He answered questions on what to feed our chickens to keep them healthy and how to keep them warm in the winter. He explained how light can affect egg production and what to do so your hens lay an egg a day. If you did not make it to the meeting, our staff can share the information with you when you visit our store. Here are a few slides from Dr. Biggs presentation.
During the month of October, buy any bag of Purina layer feed and receive a fun, free sign for your chicken coop. Collect one or all three signs. Strong shells for your hens, coop signs for you – it’s a win-win!
